This is a design forum that I coded for Sunjo, and moneyman helped me out with a few things which I really appreciate. I still have a lot of bugs to fix, but it's out there now. Best viewed in Firefox atm, but Chrome works as well. 4OUR.proboards.com

I saw that posted on Slightly Insane somewhere, I think? It looks awesome in Firefox. It's amazing. It reminds me of the type of themes you will see on Zetaboards. I am joining now.

I forgot to put that this is Sunjo's skin so that's why you guys have probably seen it before. He had been showing it around until I saw it and agreed to code it for him.

It's amazing. I think I saw a thread on Slightly Insane where he said he he was looking for a coder. Jordan, you sure are an awesome coder to code something like that. Of course, Sunjo is an amazing designer. ;D

I'm glad you like it cause it sure as hell took some hard work to make it, and unfortunately it still needs quite a bit to get it working in all the browsers (I hate having to code for five major browsers ><).

Which browser is being a bigger pain? Opera or Internet Explorer? I use Firefox, and it looks perfect.

I didn't even test it in Opera simply because I didn't have time due to the fact that I'm working full time right now and I'm not always in the mood to code all night long. However, I just downloaded Opera and it is working fairly well so there shouldn't be too many fixes that have to go into place. Internet Explorer was an absolute nightmare because not only do Proboard webpages get rendered in quirks mode (meaning IE5 mode), but parsing all those pages with Javascript is extremely tedious and IE just sucks.

It's not okay on the thread listing page and while viewing an actual thread, but it seems to be good on all the other pages. I probably won't make any fixes until this weekend so opera users will just have to live with it.

Once again, Jordan has blown a lot of other coders out of the water lol I'd never be able to do anything like this..
Very well done!

Thanks guys. It was definitely a challenge for me, though. There were times when I wanted to give up since it was so tedious. O.o. What opera version are you using? Seems perfect for me. Strange. I'm using 11.50.

Oh come on I'm sure you've coded much harder things It is hard to code around a predefined layout tho, especially tables and you have to loop through elements and stuff.

I've definitely coded much harder things that required more thought, but this was just tedious because I was having to extract so much information from the HTML which changes for members, guests, admins etc. The challenge was being able to stay motivated and not get pissed off whenever something broke because there's additional rows when there's a poll, and then there's different markup for the various kinds of polls etc. It just becomes a huge pain to find all the different scenarios, and then have to use Javascript to extract the information you need, and then have to code the skin in Javascript rather than in just pure HTML/CSS like normal people.
