wTCricketwebTestCricketWell this is my new project, it will be an online cricket management game, based around the current setup in world cricket. It is currently in the planning stage but here is the outline so far. - Test Match League which will be for the test match nations only
- One Day Internationals this will be set up in leagues as well.
- When people register they will be allocated a club named at their choice hopefully in the league and region of their selection as well depending on availability. And given a club side.
- The best performing club managers can enter the running to become international managers whose games are mentioned above depending on their performances as manager will see if they stay on as manager or go back to their club.
- All players in the game will be generated at random, but people may suggest a name to be given and chose wether they are left / right handed batsmen / allrounder etc...
- The game will be free to play, but people may buy credits which can be exchanged for improvements to their team and so on.
This will be an expanding list, and hopefully become a nice game hopefully. I've never attempted any type of game engine before so this is certainly a new challenge!

My brother was a cricket fan, he used to play this cricket manager game (forgot the name) like 4+ hours a day. lol I don't watch cricket much so I found the game boring, I never used to play it.

Ok done quite a bit of research but still not sure what language the engine will use but its coming together. Things to take into account: Weather (is cloudy / humid helps swing bowlers seam up) ( is hot and dry helps batsmen / spinners a little) ( is crumbling pitch great support for spinners) Player Skills someone of a high bowling level against a low batting level will have more chance of creating a wicket. Umpire skill we do see mistakes made these must be taken into account e.g some LBW shouts turned down etc.. The speed of play, in FC (4 day) matches less attacking strokes would be played compared to a T20 (20 0vers a side) less sixes and also more time generally between wickets. Run rates and things would also be different in each form of the game. Some teams may attack more than others batsmen too so all players need attacking and defensive mindsets. more to some, helps to organize it all in my mind

Haha i'm not too sure right now either.
I'm thinking it will be a matter of cron and the game engine which will be different from one day and 4 day games, taking players stats into account etc... and going through as if a real game and getting score at the end, hmm

You will be able to take control of a club and manage them. Not actually playing the match....
