Well I haven't been watching around a lot but I haven't heard much about HTML 5. Are many people coding in it yet? Is it fully compatible?

Well ive messed around with it, It seems easy but its more based on creating your OWN website, not like Proboards hosted. I wouldnt recommend coding with it maybe until PBv5.

Proboards' pages are parsed in quirks mode so you wouldn't be able to use it effectively. HTML5 is coming along, but it will take years until it's finished. There are some big websites that are now using the HTML5 doctype such as Google, but many features are a work in progress.

Haha. I keep hearing from people that people are coding games in it and that it will be the next Java! N00B$ ! First of all, these games are programmed in Javascript, not HTML5 (which isn't a programming language at all). Second of all, why would you call those people noobs? There have been 3D Javascript libraries out for years, and now that hardware acceleration is beginning to be implemented in various browsers, more and more things are becoming possible. I believe that someday legitimate games will be possible with Javascript (there have already been basic 3D games made with Javascript for years now). Then there would be no need to download a plugin to play a game. Here's a basic app I made with the HTML5 canvas element which is programmed in Javascript. WASD to move (it's not bug free by the way, I just made it for fun to test the canvas element). xtriad.comxa.com/applications/canvas_games/canvas_shooter/game.html

Well some people at my school are in web design, and were claiming they were learning 'Java'. It was pretty amusing. And what I meant by calling it 'the next java', was they thought HTML5 actually had the capabilities of making actual Java programs (w/o javascript)

Google Chrome 10 288 points + 13 bonus points out of 400.
I pretty much doubt any browser has the full 400 yet. :/
