Indeed Luke, although you probably have never even heard of the artists, nor probably even listened to them.
'Broken' by Lifehouse - A relationship has ended
'In the End' by Linkin Park - Not certain on this one, but to me it sounds like a relationship that's ended
'Survive' by Rise Against - Talks about how we all make mistakes, and life isn't perfect
'Forgive Me' by Versus the World - The guy is suicidal probably because of a broken relationship

The older Linkin Park stuff is the best. Ie. meteora, hybrid theory.

Rational Gaze - Meshuggah Its about the difference between what we see, and reality. Mainly I think it refers that both the old Einsteinian relativistic perception of time and modern quantum theory (wavefront collapse and all its transcendental-esque implications), and how they are utterly counter-intuitive to how we see the world. It might also be about the fact that all that we see isn't necessarily there, but could all be an illusion, and the fact the only think we can be sure of is ourselves. "To see the fine grain, to read the hidden words The context of parallel truth Devoid of fragmentation"
The Eye of Every Storm - Neurosis About life, and death and how they are inextricable.
Time - Pink Floyd Its Floyd, nuff said.
