Whose tried this out yet? I downloaded it today and I think I'm in love! The interface is amazing, yet so simple! It's a really easy install but it takes time and needs some basic knowledge. While it's only the dev. preview it's really good and I haven't found any bugs yet, besides the system being a bit slow to input text when I press the buttons (literally only a fraction of a second occassionally.) I'm really liking the built in spell check and the lock screen. The only downside is that to get rid of it you have to do a reinstall of a recovery partition or system restore point. So if you trying it I suggest you do it a recovery disk, system image and backup first. The fact that you still have your normal desktop to it a bonus, but it does delete all of your programs (but keeps user account data and files). So, all in all I do suggest it. Just not looking forward to having to pay for it when it's released. You can find it at the Windows Dev Centre.

Not interested at the moment, until it shows more useful features.

I'm pretty excited for it! I probably won't try it until its final release when I buy it because I don't think I'd want to download it on my bandwidth.

I didn't really like the fact you can't downgrade back once you install it, I had to reformat and loose all my windows 7 stuff.

Never had to deal with downgrading until now I just normally format my driver and install a new os it would still be nice to be able to downgrade without having to format.

You could always use a OS simulator with a virtual HD? That's what my dad did and it worked fine. Isn't OS8 based more at tablets?

Yes Windows 8 is designed to be a touchscreen-friendly OS, but there are options to disable this and switch it back to a pre-Windows 8 start screen etc.
Not everyone has touchscreen monitors, so Microsoft will have to add more than just touchscreen capability to impress the consumers.

Well my laptop isn't touch, so I want something nifty.

Neither is mine, and I don't want a touchscreen computer either. Not yet.
