Hello,
This morning I received a PM from Mr. Berry informing me of some great news. We traced the IP of the spammer thanks to Xcessive, as he managed to see the IP of the person who uploaded the LARGE images which were apart of the spam. Obviously they forgot to use their proxy when uploading the image.
Mr. Berry gave me the IP and I quickly whizzed into the admin panel and searched to see if it was a user here. It was. Now, we're not going to tell you who it is, the person knows who they are and I'm sure they will come forward and say sorry and explain why they did it. We knew in the end we would catch the spammer and we just did, I'm pretty sure they know we're not bluffing either.
The spammer has 48 hours to come forward, PM one of us and tell us why they did it, otherwise they will risk their reputation being damaged as we take the matter to PB and release your name. IT'S YOUR CHOICE.

If you have actual proof the spammer could be held with harrasment charges.

I don't really see how this would proof that this person is the spammer 100%. Maybe I'm just missing something though. Anyways, I feel like I deserve to know who this spammer is, as I have had to help clean up spam and all that jazz as well. Also, I would like to know why I only received one or two spam PMs throughout all these spam sessions. |

We aren't releasing it because we want to give the user a chance to come clean that way no one will bother them with hate mail and all that you'll know by tomorrow but as I said looks like they're not coming clean. We thank you for helping out however I know what it's like to have to clean up spam also |

When are you going to let the public know? From my estimates, don't hold your breath. If you're lucky, you'll be around when said member most likely tries to flood the forum with spam after their discovered. Besides that, it sounds like the staff isn't planning on making it public knowledge (if it was my board, I wouldn't, either). |
