When do you think we will have these? Will they ever be possible. If they were possible, I'll give them five years till they make something like unlimited harddrives.

They won't exist as hard drives use a spinning disk. These disks can only hold so much data before they start getting larger to be capable of the additional storage capacities.

I've always thought of unlimited batteries. Batteries that had a built in generator that produced more power than was needed to run them.

Yes, but you seem to be forgetting where is the power coming from to recharge them?
Also, in relation to Luke's original question, I believe that you'd stand a far better chance of seeing an 'unlimited' SSD, rather than a hard drive. Flash memory is seen in tremendously high capacities at such small sizes - thumbdrives!
