So what are you hoping for in the new iPad 3, set to be released within late Q1/early Q2 of 2012.
CPU
Personally, I expect a quad-core processor if Apple are to stay in the game against competitors like Qualcomm and NVIDIA. A dual-core will disappoint me here.
GPU
Here, I don't expect much of an upgrade, but if Apple do decide to update the GPU, I would be expecting another one of Apple's manufactured PowerVR chips, possibly an SGX554, or maybe even a Series 6 chip.
RAM
The iPad has been needing a boost in RAM since Apple announced the iPad 2. I was quite disappointed when I found out it only had half a gig. With the next incrementation, I expect at least 1GB.
Display
A larger 'Retina Display'? Doubtful. The screens are being manufactured by Sharp, and I doubt Apple will stretch the limitations of their so-called 'Retina Display' up to a size of the iPad. In terms of dimensions, I expect a 10.1" widescreen (finally, no more 4:3 stone-age nonsense!), resolutions of maybe 1280x800 in a 16:10 format. If Apple were to include a 'Retina Display' in the new iPad, just imagine how many pixels it will take to fill a 10.1" screen at 330ppi - not to mention the cost of the iPad, because of this.
Networks
Since the disappointment of the iPhone 4S not supporting 4G with LTE, I expect Apple will rectify this with the iPad 3, thus the next iPhone should include 4G networks. As it is at the moment, 4G and LTE are not available in all parts of the world, but I expect this to resolve within a couple of years, if not by next year.
OS
Naturally, whoever doesn't expect iOS 5.0.1 to be standard is a bit nutty and should probably go and fall in a ditch somewhere.
Other
I hope the iPad 3 solves a few issues also with connecting via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The iPad seems to drop connection after so long, and you need to keep connecting it manually. In terms of Bluetooth, actually give you the ability to connect more than Bluetooth-capable keyboards, iPhones and iPods to the device.
