I personally hate the smell of smoke. It's vile I think smoking should be banned, yes it will be hard to get over, but it must be done =/ It's stupid and curse who ever made the first smoke -.- People end up dying early and getting cancer, I have never tried smoking and never will, it is vile and needs to be banned in my view.

Smoking goes back to the ancient years =P People have always smoked, and even if it is banned, people always will find a way. Crack was banned, people still do it, marijuana was banned, people still do it, cocaine was banned, people still do it.It's never going to end, I'd love if it did, but it's not going to

I think it would be more realistic to ban it from everywhere but that persons own property.

In America (or atleast in my town lol) they tried to ban smoking in public property. They're still trying, but I don't think they're getting anywhere =\

I know that in my town, it's illegal to smoke publicly. People just do it in their cars now. xP
Also, as stated many times previously, smoking won't stop. Too many people are already hooked. All we can do is try to decrease the amounts of people exposed to it.

Never say you're never going to smoke at least once in your life. I said that but temptation got the better of me.. But you are right about the smell and the taste. Who would want to walk around with blackened lungs, yellow teeth and nicotine stained fingertips? It's a disgusting habit which should be banned in the UK!

It aint Never Gonna stop, Because there is a 8th Grade Smoker in My School, and as soon as people turn 18 they start smoking in my school. But People Still do It in Public, it Should Be Banned in my Opinion

You just said it yourself, "It aint Never Gonna stop" So if we ban it, what good will that do? Cause chaos, strikes, etc..?

One problem with the overall ban of smoking is the income in which the government receives from taxes.I know here is the US ithey make around 88 billion a year from smokers. So if they were to ban smoking altogether where would that money come from.Just things to think about.

Tobacco*
I highly doubt they would do that. Because so many people already smoke, it would sure put a dent in the economy. Plus, since the US economy is about to take another nose-dive, now is the worst time to enact a law banning a large source of income.
Perhaps they are enacting a law that bans home-grown tobacco? Not sure how the laws work over there.

New Zealand, Clearly Becoming Smoke-FreeIf you want to stop smoking then pack your bag and fly over to New Zealand. While you are there New Zealand tobacco regulatory agencies will offer you the facts on smoking dangers and by 2017 you may have to leave the country to buy tobacco products. New Zealand is one of the many countries incorporating smoking bans, and like Canada they are banning smoking in your car. www.ciggyfree.com/cigblog/2010/04/28/new-zealand-moving-toward-smoke-free/I was close
