Hello,

Today, due to me being quite busy over the coming days to weeks, I took the step to update the forum with the update we were talking about. You may think this has been short work, but I have been working all day on it from four days ago and it's been tiring but looks good. The ubbc icons will be changed, but unless we create new smilies they will stay. We will still change the forum colours around as we work to continue making this update, but on this forum.

I'm sorry if you feel as though it was too early but life is getting harder, due to us at my school having short hours because we have to share the school with another school because of the earthquake, we are getting a lot of homework. I hope you like it and you can vote out of 10 what you think about the skin above or, post some comments below.

I think you need to get rid of the pink in everywhere but the banner.

Also that twitter icon should be all the way to the side as it is really annoying where it is right now. Better yet get rid of it.

Also will the PM icon change? It is functional but kind of an eyesore from the rest of the great skin.

If you do some fixes then it is definitely a solid 8 or 9.

The layout hasn't changed much, just the colors. It's nice to have a bit of change every now and then.

Some suggestions:

Make the pm bar a bit smaller. Seems like it is a bit to big. Also move the Follow us! Twitter icon more to the left. It looks out of place being so far to the right and if possible make the header pattern a repeatable background image so that it doesn't stretch the page.

If you do decide to change the UBBC icons I think you should keep them the way they are but have it so the background is a dark color and have the icons themselves a white or light grey.

Yeah, due to my large screen, everything is perfectly aligned to the forum, all that can be changes though, thanks for you comments both of you and at the moment, the UBBC icons look like so:

To be honest, I never thought I'd ever see a version of this design become real. It was more of an experiment of sorts. Just something to play around with when I got bored.

Although I dont know why your using an image for the pm's. To align text vertically just use:line-height: 50px;

Or however tall it is.

Its just making the system slower if anything. Images are slower to load.

What if a member had more than 10 messages? No image would be displayed. That concept failed. It's better as text, for the reasons stated above, and it means a lot less work for you.

It would say you have over 7 messages But we have the text version now
