xmuarcade.com/avidJust a little portfolio I did for myself today. It is meant to be simplistic, and different. Thoughts?

Cool. The colors are very different, white and black. Maybe not have such extremes. Change the black to like a #404040 and the background a light gray or something.

Invalid markup. Use better coding practices.
The design is meant to look 3d I guess, so far it doesn't work at all if this is the case. I like the idea though. It just needs far better execution.

Durp. Forgot about the markup. I'll get on that tomorrow.. Gonna tweak the 3d effect a bit. What would you recommend to make it better? (this is my first time playing with a 3d effect)

I would darken the background a little more, but it looks good. I like the 3d effect, although I would increase the font size a tad.
I would also use CSS on your main header links by making them look like buttons when they are hovered over.

I found the trick with getting a nice 3D perspective was lighting. I did something like that ages ago. I'll try and find it. Also your missing closing </html> and </body> tags. EDIT: mirrorimg.net/images/3y.jpegMake it nice and shiny, and the rest will follow.
