Yes, I may have said I was going to do this countless times, but that was when I thought it would take a few weeks. Since Russell didn't need any help with rForums and most forum projects are on hold at the moment, I'm going to try create a few designs and start working. Because this is also a learning curve, don't expect a stable release till Christmas but if I find some coders who want to give a hand it might go smoother! I have millions of ideas, mostly unique which I want to include in this script and unlike the other times this won't be for a forum host, it will be like PHPBB, myBB etc =] I'm going to try post some design ideas soon  Hooefully I can get to work in the next few days to week  |

The million dollar question..... Is it going to be object oriented? Rofl that would be fucking pointless. I can't think of any reason anyone would want to make a fully OOP implementation of a forum system. Thats masochistic in the extreme. The only part of a forum system I have ever preferred in object form was a database abstraction layer. You database /is/ you're "OOP" like organisation. Theres no point reconstructing it in code. |
