Our college uses Windows 7, and there are 3 computer rooms completely filled with Mac computers.

We were up-to-date. Windows XP didn't even come out until I was almost done with middle school (around 8th grade). I don't remember what computers we had in elementary school; they were probably all really old (well, somewhat new at the time) Macs. The library computer lab at the middle school just had the old iMacs. I rarely saw people use them after school. It wasn't until high school that my peers started using computers for recreational purposes (awkward wording, but I think you get my point). If I remember correctly, the computers at my high school all ran Windows 2000.

My schools have 4 macs, and the rest mainly consist of Pentium 4 machines. There are a few AMD 1400+ ones that are in the english room A 1.4ghz single core or something. My schools computers are about 40% Windows 7 and 60% Windows XP. Not a single dual core

Luke, I will say this: Mac computers are fine, albeit the OS has been lacking for years what Windows has had for probably a decade. They have a meaningful purpose to be here. iPhones are, well I wouldn't say the best products, but they are phones. Again, useful. iPads and iPods are just underpowered versions of the computers and phones, respectively. They are just useless.
In fact, I will correct myself, the entire 2nd floor's IT suite is full of Mac computers, and they're not outdated - Core i5 processors in them.
