Again who are we to tell Apple what products to give out?
All you can do is buy what you want the iPod touch 4gen is fine where it's at true, but it's like telling proboards to skip 4.5 and go straight to 5.
This is really there way of testing it to the public and make extra money on the side line.
If they see people aren't buying 4s then they'll do what they can to improve on it for the i5.

iPods and iPads are the pointless devices of Crapple. The phone and computer are useful.

All an iPad is is a bigger screen...It's like saying I'll take that 18inch TV over that that 22inch.
Hate Apple all you want but they have great apps to where you can text for free, make free voice calls on a wifi signal (You don't have to pay phone bills $2.00 for $100 minutes) You can also control media servers with them.

The only thing I like about the iPad is that I could play board games on a bigger screen than my iPod which would be nice since they don't offer a lot of those games on a full size mac. Also, iPod Touches are awesome! No data plan Had mine for 2 years and it's still going strong. Well worth the money.

Yeah. I don't know why I typed board games, but my mind was subliminally thinking board games since that is what I have been playing recently.

I believe there are apps like that with Android. Nothing new. One thing I like about Android is that it is developer friendly. That damn iOS shit is so closed that doing any serious programming (those that I am interested in) is just impossible, even in a hacked iOS it's impossible. I really like some products made by apple, like iPods. I carry it with me all the time, really love them. But other products like let's say iPad, they are crap. The OS is crap (reason above), the hardware is fragile and not portable, they are not as powerful as laptops so there is limited things you can do with them, and apple is putting last generation technology in them and selling them for more price.

I'm glad we share a similar opinion, regarding iOS and Android. I'd like to get into the developing side of Android too, but I don't know any programming languages. Obviously, they would help I think, but I'm not sure what to learn, how to learn it and I struggle with learning in some forms, e.g. unclear tutorials.

I would make android apps if I had a phone

My iPod has a really nice screen. At least adequate to what I need in a mobile device. I have no complaints about it (other than the battery slowly losing life, but this happens with all lithium-ion batteries )

You don't need a data plan to use the internet on your phone. Wi-Fi is free, and if you have credit/balance on your phone SIM, you can easily access the web for a set fee midnight to midnight.
You think your iPod's screen is great? Wait until Samsung unveil their new phones equipped with Super AMOLED HD screens, with a resolution of 720x1280. Trust me, the colours will be a heck of a lot more vibrant on that, than your little iPod screen.
And yes Luke, there is one, but it provides basic functionally. I actually mean proper apps.
