Yeah, I do it quite a bit, but it needs to be calm music or else I'll get distracted. Recently I've enjoyed listening to the Tron: Legacy sound track while coding.

Meshuggah is the best coding music ever. Its extremely energetic while being unbelievably technical.

It depends on my mood. I'll often prefer complete silence, though I'll occasionally use music (or a fan) to drown out background noise. If I listen to music while coding, I prefer music that I don't know too well (otherwise it will take over my attention). Acoustic music without lyrics works well.

There are actually a number of songs that I use YouTube for. Mainly startup/Youtube bands whose music I have yet to buy.

I cant have much of a beat of my typing will link to that I prefer film soundtracks on half volume or open the window and listen to the cars in the distance not exactly music
