I would say a combination of all of them. If it is seriously lacking in one, it's not worth getting. Battery life is pretty important though

Design, functionality, features and price are what I look for.
So pretty much the iPhone, Galaxy S II, Blackberry Torch...
Well minus the Blackberry for functionality. Dont get me wrong, they are good phones. But RIM tends to ship half baked products, so the OS is a bit.. glitchy. Maybe not so much in BB7, but BB5 was terrible for being glitchy.

Years ago, it would've been easy, but now, there are so many aspects and features that modern phones incorporate, it simply isn't possible for me to choose what I look for.
