Bear Grylls techniques actually helped me out in some camping situations in Siberia and in the Everglades

How many Bears could Bear Grylls grill if Bear Gryll could grill Bears?

He's very dramatic about everything! "Don't do this, and you'll end up dead before sunrise." xD

BOOOOOO! Survival man is legit, the other dude is a fake I believe it's called survivor man, and he is a jackass. XD That guy just sits around in poorly constructed shelter for 7 days. BEAR GRYLLS could survive the apocalypse with no arms and a dirty old sock.

Bear Grylls the guy off of Man vs. Wild. He always has his crew to save him, where Survivor Man brings his own cameras and films everything and has no backup support, which is way cooler. Bear Grylls has a full blown crew following him...

Of course he films his own stuff, he doesn't go anywhere! Survivor man stays in one spot for 7 days. There's not a whole lot of work involved in shooting a stationary subject. Bear is always on the move. It would be impossible for him to film himself using all the angles and different range shots that a crew is able to film.

As far as learning to survive, I think that Survivor Man is the one you want to take advice from. If you are just looking for something a little more entertaining, and not as realistic (as far as what you'd do if you were actually lost), Man vs. Wild is more appealing I'm more for the 'What you would really do' type of survival show personally
