I find GIMP hard to use, I'm a n00b at GIMP. Its so hard to create something, Photoshop I'd straight forward and easy to use. What's your opinions on both of them?

I find them both easy to use. More experience in both of them. GIMP is what I first learnt in, and I also have Paint.NET, Illustrator and Fireworks, so I'm fully stocked up on resources!
In the comparison between the two, Photoshop wins hands-down, but don't under-estimate GIMP just yet; it does have a lot of features Photoshop has, and is of course the free alternative.

I use GIMP as I can not afford PhotoShop. Most people underestimate GIMP when they compare GIMP and PhotoShop. GIMP is a bit harder to use than PhotoShop, so I have heard anyways.

I've been using both today. Re-opening GIMP for me is like visiting an old friend.

GIMP is bomb! Wooo! It's like this. If you know how to use it, it's not far off from Photoshop. Definitely if you know what add-ons to get.

Users of Photoshop who have never tried GIMP should not under-estimate the program. It has a lot of the features of Photoshop, IS CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER and actually adapts to some of the UI of Photoshop. Couple GIMP 2.6.11 with Paint.NET 3.5.8, and you have a pretty good collection of bitmap graphic editing software.

Well GIMP for me is a bit of a hassle which is why i recommend SUMOPAINT( www.sumopaint/app)! Sumopaint is a bit of software where you need to plan ahead because as soon as text is placed, only a ctrl z will fix it so planning! But it is pretty powerful if you know how you use it! And no lie I used SumoPaint to make my sig!

Haha I have Sumo Paint in my bookmarks. It's fun to mess around with. The symmetry tool is pretty neat.
