I thought we were talking about the chat box not the feed back board that's still open and well.
Chat box's are more of a hang out place for forum members and they end up using them as feedback places which take away forum activity.

But I was replying in the case of "the admin's right." And what you say contradicts Luke's reply. It says the chat was getting inactive, meaning people stopped using it.

Rick, Luke wants this place to be active, he doesn't want it to be a place where you just chat with members in a chat box all day. When I was here lurking over the chat box I saw a bunch of people putting their graphics inside of the chat box instead of using the boards to get opinions on it.

That's not what Luke said. xD He said the chat was becoming inactive.

I would have thought making members enjoy their time would be more important than member count. That's what I saw as extreme. We had a lot of members wanting it to go too and it was starting to become very in-active. See my point? No one even knows why it was taken down.

We did have one until a few days ago, Iggy. But we felt as though it took away activity the forum itself, so we removed it. Spot on There was that also so I got confused

Lol. My point is, the chat wasn't taken down based on member feedback or a firm decision. As they're having a hard time not contradicting their own reasons. No one had a solid reason when it was taken down. Therefore, I won't mind seeing it back where it belongs.

Well like I said it's still Luke's choice and it doesn't have to be there. Like I said we have Live Chat.

No one had a solid reason when it was taken down. Therefore, I won't mind seeing it back where it belongs. There is a number of reason's which is why we have taken it down. A: because it used to get used a lot more than the forum, we're a forum not a live chat site. B: it was starting to not get used as much. C: members were even saying it is pointless and annoying. For those members who want to chat to others, there's the live chat which I know doesn't work for everyone, but remember we are a forum, you can chat there too. It may not be so quick and live but it was decided by the staff team for it to be removed.

There is a reason to my questions, because a forum is just the same as a chat box the only difference is that it takes longer to reply. and you get more in a forum this debate has gone back to the stone ages.

There's a huge difference. For one, many users like to chat with friends real time. Chatting real time actually changes the appearance of everything. You don't have to worry about going off topic. You can direct your attention to someone better. You can easily send PMs. You can easily view who's online, and who's online real time. You can learn about everything about the forum real time... On, and on... And now back on the topic of the contradicting reasons for the removal of the chat.

So your saying I can't say Hi to you on a chat box the same way you I can't say Hi to you here?
I don't see why you need more reasons Lukes already given you all the reasons that you should need, you should respect them and just move on.
