True, but on the forums the moderators/admins can see what happens, on the chatbox they can be gone, someone can have a huge fight, and the mods/admins won't even notice, if that were to happen on the forums they would notice and can just delete the post and warn all members involved. Yes if they were to ban them they would still deal with their friends saying "he did nothing wrong blah blah blah". But atleast in the forum (if you didn't delete the argument threads) you could show them exactly why they were banned, can't do that in chatbox, you can take a screenshot of it, but they'll say it was "photoshopped" if you can directly link them, they have no argument. Aren't the mods here capable of handling a single c-box? I'm sorry, but it's much easier than controlling a forum. Everything's in once place. You delete and/or ban. As for the friends saying issue... That's much more common and more problematic in forums.

If you set up rules and threaten high Warning like on the forums I visit, it's never a problem. I can't think of one flame war that's taken place in the chatrooms at the forums I visit.

Well activity was another issue why we canned the c-box, not necessarily the behavior of members using it.

If anything, couldn't you just use the hide from guest feature? From what I can see they are sticking to solid reasons and multiple too. It's not easy for them when you keep going over and over about it. My two pence worth.

Wow. Now even a guest won't see my point. Sorry, but now this is pissing me off. What is so hard to understand? You can't say you did something because the chat was inactive, and was taking away activity from the forum with its activity. They contradict each other. Am I the only person with logic? I'm sorry. But if this is really a simple concept. You can't say the reason is, because it's active, and it's inactive. But, I feel there's no point arguing. I can care less about the bs that's going on here.

We are sticking to solid reasons, you're just twisting them Wouldn't you rather remove the chat box when it's INACTIVE when it was previously active than remove it when it is active? We've wanted to remove it for ages, there's quite a few threads around with polls asking members. We took it away at a fair and nice time

I'm not twisting your reasons. Look. Now you're saying it was removed because the chat box was inactive. A few posts earlier it was said that the chat box took AWAY activity FROM the forum. *sigh* Both of those reasons can't co-exist. It's simple logic. And I do't give a damn anymore, as this has pissed me off.

(THIS POST IS NOT A TROLL)It's not what about their doing wrong. It's about the murder of the name "Forum Feedback". It's literally "let the admins defend their forum board". Not a feedback board. I honestly, see no point in me wasting my time trying to help.
I've given up all hope. Leave the thread to rest.

In case it wasnt clear:
The FORUM was losing lots of activity. Chatbox was becoming MORE active then the forum. Solution: Remove chat box to increase FORUM activity.
None of this is as big of a deal as it had to be, and if certain people would simply take the time to understand what other people were saying it wouldnt have gotten this out of hand.
So far removing the chat box has worked and the majority of the community is fine with it. In case there are members who want a chat box, the staff and I will discuss adding an external chat room using the chatango we previously used.
/thread.

So? It is apparent he made a slight mistake. There would be no point in removing the chat box if it was inactive, wouldnt there? So if you put two and two together its obvious he made a mistake. Either by "it" he was referring to the forum (which would be bad, grammar wise) or he got a bit confused. Nbd.
