They gave me a 10% warning for derailing a thread when users do it all the time there.
It's sad really the way they run their boards people do nothing but go against each other then they warns the one they don't like

I had a 10% warning on ProBoards Support for about a year, until they removed it at like the end of 2010. I got it for arguing with an administrator of a competing forum who created a thread in the support board saying my forum was breaking all kinds of different things in the TOS, and making false claims. A year! I nearly cried when mine was a month! ;P

When you guys get a job with a professional company you will understand why things are the way they are. The support board is not there for your amusement, it's there to support customers. Whenever you go into the professional world it will make a lot more sense because you don't screw around and act like you do with your friends. That's why I've almost never participated in GT, because it's part of a company forum and that company is bound by state laws so they have strict rules. When they say the content is PG-13, the content better be PG-13 or else they could run into problems with the law. You guys may have gotten warnings for dumb reasons, but it's like that so people understand that the forum has strict rules. Nobody cares if you are having fun or not. I know for a fact that Patrick is not strict when he is around friends in a different setting like on Skype because that's not a professional environment.
Don't get me wrong, I understand what you are saying, but you shouldn't complain about it. If you don't like it, don't go back there because that place is the way it is for a reason. I know that you guys are used to being able to say whatever the hell you want on the internet, and a forum on the internet may not seem like a professional environment, but Proboards Support actually is.

It has nothing to do with me being a moderator, I've just been around long enough to understand why things are the way they are. I used to feel the same way until I realized that the forum wasn't there for me to have fun on, it was there to support customers. However, you may be correct on them not being fair but I wouldn't know since I don't pay attention to those problems, I just check into the coding boards every once and a while and answer questions. Well said, but yet there's some members who are just crazy and re-rail every thread and start fights yet I don't even see them banned. Well I can definitely understand the frustration there. If that's happening that's too bad, but like I said above, I don't pay attention to all the drama that goes on in GT and the other boards. And I've been around 5 years and yet they act like a normal member has no idea what's going on in the background even though the admins pretty much told us in the past Didn't you say a few months back to me you don't even know why your still a mod there or something? Also all this is going on in the General talk board which had nothing to do with supporting customers they should just get rid of it like they've done in the past

I understand that, it took me awhile to understand that though. It's hypocritical if you ask me though, to enforce rules upon only certain people, that's certainly not professional. They let the active members run wild and make chaos in the general chat really. Yet, any active member who does the same will be sure to be slapped with a warning. How is that fair? What, did they eventually give up on enforcing the rules on those people who makes hundreds of posts on ProBoards Support a day? Also, it seems to me that the professionalism level has been dropped by a couple of the newer administrators. A couple of them act exactly like the wild active members, and I've even seen an administrator get in an argument with an active member over a debate. I know, it's a debate, so that's okay right? Well, what they were doing wasn't really even an aggressive debate. It just turned into insulting each other.

Pretty much what 2787cmt said They can also be first class smart alic know it alls, like on the v5 suggestion board One of the admins was pretty much calling every suggestion stupid or being a smart alic over it. How is that being professional?
